China takes lead in this race of supercomputers as it beats the U.S record of 165 supercomputers after they have developed 167 supercomputers and comes on the top of this race of supercomputers. Not only China beat U.S number of supercomputers but also developed fastest supercomputer of the planet named Sunway TaihuLight which is locally manufactured on the chips which are developed in china, these chips are not imported from U.S. The previous fastest supercomputer was China’s Tianhe-2 which was developed using intel processor chips. Last year U.S Government blocked supply of these intel chips for upgradation in the supercomputers working in China so China have developed their own chips.
The race of supercomputers does not end here, it continues. After China have developed the fastest supercomputer of the world and have break the record of U.S, the president of U.S Barack Obama started the initiative of developing the world fastest computer but definitely it will take time to beat China’s mightiest creation in the field of supercomputers.
Not only the competition is between United States and China but there are also other competitors who are working in the development of world fastest computer and to increase their number of supercomputers. The countries which are in this competition are Japan, Switzerland, Germany and Saudi Arabia. All these countries are working hard to win this battle of supercomputers.
